Applied Geoscience Solutions, Inc. (AGS) is a woman-owned, small geoscience consulting firm headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We specialize in data-driven, science-based solutions that support marine and land-based infrastructure projects, coastal restoration, and offshore resource development across the U.S.
AGS was founded on the belief that strong engineering decisions begin with unbiased, high-quality geoscience. Ms. Porto created AGS to ensure that data is treated as a decision-making asset — not a checkbox — delivering clarity, transparency, and confidence to clients navigating complex regulatory and technical challenges.
Our team brings expertise in marine geology, geotechnical and geophysical surveys, data analysis, and environmental compliance to help clients make informed decisions from seabed to land. Whether delineating offshore sand resources, monitoring seafloor and coastline conditions, locating utilities, or supporting permitting and construction phases, AGS provides actionable insights that reduce uncertainty and add value to every project.

Founder
Sabrina Porto, MS, CSPO
Principal Geoscientist
Ms. Porto holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and a Master’s degree in Geosciences, and brings extensive experience in coastal geology, geotechnical and geophysical investigations, GIS-based data analysis, data management, and project delivery. She has supported and led multiple local, state, federal and private projects across the East and Gulf Coasts, with expertise in offshore sediment search, characterization, feasibility assessments, and environmental permitting. Sabrina integrates geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental datasets within regulatory frameworks to support critical engineering and coastal management decisions.

Born and raised by the coast and coming from a multi-generational military family, Sabrina developed a deep connection to the ocean and a strong foundation in integrity, accountability, and service from an early age. These values continue to shape her approach to geoscience — where she takes pride in delivering independent, high-quality work that communities, clients, and decision-makers can trust.
